Why do I need a copywriter?

It all begins with an idea.

You’ve decided on your brand name, designed your packaging, chosen your service levels and bought the perfect domain name. After lots of 3am to-ing and fro-ing, you’ve even named your price. You’ve done your market research, everyone’s on board.

Congratulations, your dream is about to become a reality!

But what about your website? That perfect domain is pretty lonely without any content to go with it.

However, not everyone has that natural flair. The power that allows words to flow and dance and leap from the page saying I’M THE ONE YOU’RE LOOKING FOR, BUY ME!

Not everyone has a way with words that tells Google (and other search engines) you’re here, open for business ready to sell. That your website and socials are being regularly updated and screams, pretty please Google, whatever your current algorithms are, PICK ME I’m adding SEO enriched content ALL THE TIME.

We all have our strengths. And our weaknesses.

And that’s ok.

I’m no good at being practical around my apartment and I can’t reverse around a corner. But I’m good brilliant at writing content.

You’ve done all you can and it looks great. Now let me take on your words.

Perhaps you’re not a startup but your business is quieter than you’d like. Or you want more online presence.

Maybe you’re established but you need help re-jigging your content. Maybe you’ve never had a blog before. Or you’re overhauling everything, and you need an extra pair of typing hands. Maybe you need to outsource your copy to someone else because business is booming.

Either way, let me take it from here.

Make it stand out

“A copywriter is essential for creating compelling, engaging content that attracts customers and keeps them coming back. Good copy drives sales, builds brand awareness, improves visibility through SEO and makes you stand out from the crowd.”

What’s the difference between copywriting and content writing?

Here feels like a good place to answer a question I get asked a lot - are copywriting and content writing the same thing?

Copywriting and content writing are essentially very similar. However, there’s a distinct difference: copy is salesy and persuasive, you want a reader to take an action at the end, either buy now! or sign up here!, whereas content is more conversational, informative or editorial.

We could think of a product page as needing copy and a blog page needing content.

However, I believe that the written word almost always needs to be persuasive, and have an enticing call to action at the end - even a chatty, short-form blog.

So whatever we call it, copy or content, when you trust your brand with me, you’ll get thoughtful, engaging, readable text that draws the reader in.

No keyword stuffing, no waffle.

I write for human ease of reading first, with a deep understanding of the need to also write for search engines so that your site has more chance of being seen among your competitors.
